Wow...its been over a month.

Well, I have finally had some time to write a post. Just thought I would give you guys a little update.

On August 11, 2008, I accepted the position of Spiritual Growth Pastor at River Pointe Church. Working at the church has been an amazing experience. I have learned so much in such little time. The staff and the people I come in contact with have really confirmed our calling to this place and have made the transition for us better. I currently am responsible for building home teams and training home team leaders. The ministry potential to teach and form leaders is an incredible opportunity for us.

On top of this entire ministry potential the Lord graciously added a new item of ministry to our plate. On October 19, 2008 we will be having our grand opening of Iglesia River Pointe! That's right a Spanish service! This has truly been an answer to pray for Iris and I. For a long time now, we have been praying for God to use us in the Hispanic community and the time has finally come. This will present an experience that will change our lives forever. We are so excited to be part of something new and fresh in the Hispanic community. God has truly given us an opportunity to be used by Him in a mighty way.

Ladies Man

This Sunday our church will begin a crazy series titled "Love Scenes -Sex, God & the Motion Pictures of Life". This series examines the connection of love, sex and God — how they relate to each other and impact us all. Inspired by the greatest movies, music and stories ever told.

The gist of the whole thing falls on our inability to have it all together in regards to sex and life. With that in mind, we hired the ideal "Ladies Man" to come visit us during the series so that perhaps through him we could learn how not to act. Here's a Johnny Blue Light Promo

Good Times

I had some time to kick back this holiday weekend. Iris and I house sat for some good friends so we took advantage of their pool. I know I am going to regret posting this picture one day.

Totally Dazed

I had the opportunity to speak at my church this past Sunday and the experience was pretty cool. I was totally dazed the first service. All I remember is getting up to speak and sitting down again. The 15 minutes I spoke felt as if 5 min had gone by. I am glad I made it through the talk without passing out! That would have been awesome.

Second service was ok.
